When can I upload 2012 W-2 information?

You can upload your employees' 2012 W-2 information starting on 12/15/2012.


When can employees view copies of their 2012 W-2s?

After their 2012 W-2 information has been uploaded, most employees can view copies of their W-2s starting on 01/01/2013. If you're an Assisted Payroll customer, your employees' W-2s will be available sometime in mid-January.


How do I set up ViewMyPaycheck so my employees can view their W-2s

QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll: You need to enable W-2 access for your employees in ViewMyPaycheck and upload your employees' W-2 information from QuickBooks to ViewMyPaycheck.

QuickBooks Assisted Payroll: You need to enable W-2 access for your employees in ViewMyPaycheck, but you don't need to upload W-2 information. We do that for you!


What IRS requirements should I be aware of when providing copies of W-2s to my employees?

I accidentally sent W-2 information to ViewMyPaycheck when I didn't want to. What do I do?

If you weren't finished with your W-2s and want to send them later, you can simply resend them. Only the latest W-2 information is saved. So finish what you need to do in QuickBooks and, when you are ready to resend your W-2 information to ViewMyPaycheck, upload the W-2 information again.
